It’s is a mystery thriller drama directed by Vibeke Muasya and written by Siobhan Fallon Hogan, who also stars as Barbara O’Brien, an Irish Catholic mother in Upstate New York. The story follows Barbara, a devoted but overbearing parent, whose life is shattered when her college freshman son, Jimmy, dies in a tragic fraternity hazing incident involving excessive alcohol consumption. After the college denies liability, Barbara, consumed by grief, initially withdraws, chain-smoking and clashing with her family. She then embarks on a cross-country journey to record stories from other mothers who lost sons to hazing, aiming to hold the university accountable. When she encounters corruption and empty promises from a senator, Barbara seeks revenge against the person she holds responsible, leading to a dramatic and intense conclusion.
